Why Not Pay Us A Visit @,
The Gipsy Queen. Gordon Road, Gosport. Hants.
Meeting Night: Friday. 8.00pm, ish
Solent Cruise & Other Piccies

The Lodge was founded on the 28th May 1919 & the inaugral meeting held on the 27th June 1919 in the Gipsy Queen, which is still its home today. The founding fathers being Bro. W. Lyne. KOM. Bro. W.T. Bone.CP. Bro. S. Hutchins. CP. & Bro. W.W. Shepherd. CP. Since its inaugration in 1919, the Lodge has had three changes of venue, (first moved to the "Queen's Hotel", then to the "Victory Inn" from there to the "Junction Tavern") but returned to its original home in 1994. where it resides to this day.
The first recorded records that I could get my hands on are a Registration Book from Aug'1923 - Aug' 1925 (and very enlightening it is too). The lowest attendance was 19 & the highest 94 (how they managed to fit that many in our little Lodge room is beyond comprehension, but they did). The average attendance works out at 37.
There is also a Red Cash Book dated Oct'31- June '34 and I have selected just a few of the relevent prices and show them converted to new money.

Both of our new initiates are doing well and seem to have settled into Buffaloism very well, I hope that it will not be long before they are ready to go before the Examining Council.
Our panel of instructors will have to get busy!
Moi is in the chair this month, so if you are intending to visit us, fill your pockets?
We really look forward to welcoming you all to our Lodge.
